Fresh from Milan Design Week, Hilary shares her five favorite design trends that stood out across showrooms, installations, and exhibitions.
1. Bold, Moody Colors
Rich jewel tones were everywhere, with deep burgundies, emerald greens, and saturated teals bringing warmth, depth, and sophistication to a variety of spaces.
2. Organic Lighting
Lighting took inspiration from the natural world, featuring organic forms, flowing silhouettes, and natural materials that created a sculptural, artful presence.
3. Curved Cabinetry & Counters
Soft, rounded edges continue to gain popularity, replacing sharp corners with more fluid, inviting forms that feel both modern and timeless.
4. Veined Stone with Dramatic Movement
Highly expressive stone surfaces made a statement in kitchens and bathrooms, with bold veining and movement adding visual interest and a sense of luxury.
5. Travertine is Back
A longtime favorite, travertine was featured throughout the show in a variety of applications. Its natural texture, warmth, and timeless appeal prove it remains a designer favorite.
