MDG's Holiday Wish List

December 13, 2018 Guest User

As we get deeper into the holiday season, who else is still on our gift list? Did your boss move into her new house this year? Are you meeting your SO's parents for the first time? Is finding a host or hostess gift borderline impossible when picking an outfit for tonight's party was hard enough? Whether you're headed to a Christmas Eve brunch, a Hanukkah party or a cookie decorating soiree, whether you need a white elephant gift, party favors or stocking stuffers, MDG is here to help. Below are our favorite gifts for the home, no matter if you're there or only in your dreams.

Seeing Clearly

February 9, 2017 Guest User

We at MDG love kids rooms they won't grow out of in twenty seconds. One of our favorite mini-makeover tricks is to add Lucite. This acrylic material has the modern, seamless look of glass without the heart attack that comes with putting glass anything in your kid's room.

Lucite is versatile in not only function but stylistically as well. A chair or bench looks elegant next to pastels and cozy when strewn with pillows or blankets in soft and luxurious fabrics. A Lucite table top allows for light to pass through, adding depth and making the room appear more airy, especially important in a small space.

An upholstered stool with Lucite legs or a crib with Lucite rungs makes the piece less tough, pairing better with more delicate decor and gives baby the chance to take in her surroundings easily. The clear appearance doesn't compete with the colors and textures of bright toys or books, making it perfect for storage.

With Lucite, the possibilities are endless and make for a chic upgrade in a kid's room.
