We at MDG love kids rooms they won't grow out of in twenty seconds. One of our favorite mini-makeover tricks is to add Lucite. This acrylic material has the modern, seamless look of glass without the heart attack that comes with putting glass anything in your kid's room.
Lucite is versatile in not only function but stylistically as well. A chair or bench looks elegant next to pastels and cozy when strewn with pillows or blankets in soft and luxurious fabrics. A Lucite table top allows for light to pass through, adding depth and making the room appear more airy, especially important in a small space.
An upholstered stool with Lucite legs or a crib with Lucite rungs makes the piece less tough, pairing better with more delicate decor and gives baby the chance to take in her surroundings easily.
